Kind of hard to see your stats... Are you going through Vai'Kesh territory? If so your extremely low death resistance could explain your problems

I know you want to be a fighter, but my 1 piece of advice for you is to raise your combat magic to a level where you can use the autocast spells: infect, drown, punishing fire, steal magic, etc. Used in combinations like infect and punishing fire you will be able to affect lots of mobs, slow them down, and be taking at least 40 points per second from each monster in the mob in range. Cripple can also be an awesome combo autocast spell. While all this is traking affect you can be swing your sword to your heart's content. My present combat magic/ nature magic character can literally walk through acts 1 through the first half of the plain of tears without lifting a weapon. I have resistances of from 35 to as much as 70 percent, armor at 142, and I primarily use the soul staff as a weapon though I have a very nice unique two handed sword and a nice pair of unique longswords that allow me to use my level 28 fighter part of my character when I need to. It gets a little tough the 2nd half of the plain of tears. Be advised that no matter what you have with you when you come against Valdis, it isn't going to affect him at first and you won't be able to kill him at all with any of your weapons, no matter how bad they are.

I just started Elite mode with only 2 characters. Beat Merc and Veteran with just Dual Weilding Human and Two Handed Lothar. Bosses were pretty hard on Veteran, wonder what Elite has to offer me.
