Welcome!
Solo characters are great stuff. I see that you're primarily doing melee, which is a good choice for a base; solo mages tend to be a bit trickier.
I think most of us here would agree that curses are great spells (in your case, maybe you ought to try Decay Armor, Steal Magic, Cripple, or Blind rather than Drown/Infect/Dehydrate being you won't attack with magic. Maybe a point or two in Debilitation would be helpful as well. I'm unsure if the Vampirism skill applies to any curse spells, but if it does that might also be worth a try.
Absorption, in my humble opinion, is the best skill of all for Nature Mages. It's reduced in value somewhat for melee fighters, but it's still definitely worth it. In fact, I might recommend (if you have the expansion Broken World) reassigning your skill points when you get to the BW map and putting all the points you may have put into Survival into Absorption instead. Then again, if you had Broken World, you'd probably be playing a Fist of Stone (melee/NM) rather than just melee anyway.
Also, a point in Feral Wrath and Enveloping Embrace to get to Absorption means a slight foundation for wrath/embrace spells. It's definitely worth it to keep your maximum of two buffs active at all times, even if they're weak. Try Life Embrace, Earth Embrace, Spirit Embrace, Wrath of Ice, Wrath of Ancestors, Wrath of the Bear, or Wind Embrace, whichever two seem to best fit your playing style.
To sum it up, get curses, get Absorption, get buffs.
