how do I go from jerias trading post back to finish unclompleted missions I could have sworn there is another way back. Or is there?

Not sure what you mean here. There are no teleporters back, but you should be able to backtrack anywhere by walking. Jeriah's trading post seems to be a confusing area, but there is a way back into the ice caves.
