Alright my stats are:
(Note: all of these are with boosts, and I am melee)
Two handed weapon:
Str.60
Dex.28
Int.18
Melee:76
Ranged:27
Nature:4
Combat:7
Melee damage:334-389
Ranged damage:140-180
Armor Rating:751
HP:1804
Mana:323

One handed weapon:
Str.60
Dex.28
Int.18
Melee:69
Ranged:27
Nature:4
Combat:7
Melee Damage:272-371
Ranged Damage:140-180
Armor Rating:835
HP:1804
Mana:323

Should I use my one handed or two handed weapon? If anyone knows a good place to lvl tell me that too :P. Now, back to the topic. I go up the lift and the ranger doesn't say anything over her head so im okay according to her. Now i run into 5 spiked maws and 3 forest trolls(example). Not too hard right? Wrong. I drink almost all my health potions and still almost die. So i run out a little while later and i die about 7 times because I have no HP. Then I restock at the guy with a health shrine next to him and buy some more. Then I run into bandits. I die about 8 more times because by the time i've finished drinking im at the same health or lower, so I waste all my health potions. Can someone give some advice?

at the point your at (meren to lang on Vet.) the game really starts to get hard, i advise going online (it sounds like your soloing) and teaming up wtih some other dudes, or else you could use and exp mod fo 10-15 levles to get you past this hard stage, then remove the mod.

Thank you, yes I am playing solo and I didn't think I would need more people because as there are more people the enemies are harder, so I thought soloing would be the eqivalent of having 2 or 3 people with me.

At that point in the game, you cannot expect to take out your enemies head on. Those ranged attackers are very deadly (and they remain so, even with better armor). You have to bait them (summons, ranged weapons, anything) to come and get you. You will need to spend a lot of time running back and forth. Do not hesitate to run backwards for your life. You need to isolate your enemies so that you are only facing a few at a time. Any items with pluses to block or dodge ranged attacks are very important and you need to stack as many of these as possible so get somewhere near a 50%+ chance of having their ranged attacks do no damage.

I would recommend working on one of your magic skills until you are able to summon a critter to help or bait enemies. Since your armor is so high, you could easily start a multiplayer game on a lower level, like Crystwind or Eldim, and work only on your attacking spell in either Combat or Nature. You will level quickly because the monsters have much higher xp value and higher HP than usual for the spell you will be using. In an hour or two you should be high enough to summon something. At level 15 Nature, you can cast Summon Scorpion, not sure what the earliest summon spell is for combat magic. Good luck!!!!!

Ever try to send in that overgrown hamster to battle? It gets slaughtered, least in my experience. I'd wait for scorpion or furok, the gargoyle is okay for combat, but I'd wait for something really nice, whatever's above skeleton.

I just finished meren to lang going solo as a combat mage. It was difficult to get to level 68 for lang, but i'd suggest after getting the meren stone, skipping the cloud forest by starting from edlim and then running to the swamp to gain experince, where there aren't as many deadly ranged enemies. After lang it's not as bad, the goblin place is a joke and the spiked maws or dwelers are the only thing you have to watch out for in the redwood gap. Even the wriath archers in the furies den aren't as bad as the bandit ones.
