My computer exceedes the minimum requirement of the game. I am currently running a dual-core intel with (I think) 3.4gHz, the mainboard is an Intel 955XBKLKR S775 and I have 1GB DDR2 memory @ 533GHz. The video card is an ATI x1300 512mb HM PCIe. I'm not a tech guy (as you can tell) but there is something about Sapphire on the info from the computer manufacturer.
The problem is that I can only play the game for about five minutes before the play are of the screen turns grey. All the character info, compass, etc.... is still visible, but the play screen turns grey. The cursor is still visible as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've read of some DS2 issues with Dual Core processors and turning off one core fixed the problem for some people... Maybe the same thing will work for DS1?

Note: I don't know how to do this (because I don't have a Dual Core machine yet), only that it was mentioned as being a potential solution...
