Ok, I saw the cutscene where the scribe told me to go the long way around, but I can't seem to figure out where the long way is! I just keep wandering in circles. Are there maps posted online somewhere? Or can someone help talk me through were to go?

Not really...has been a long time since I was there last.

A tip would be to "hug" the wall between you and the cave you want to get into. Then sooner or later you should get there.

And make sure you haven't missed any close doors.
