How do I defeat the head dark wizard? Someone help, please!!!

To defeat the Archmage, keep a close eye on him. When he turns to face one of the obelisks, it means he's going to activate it. If he activates an obelisk, it will start to glow purplish; immediately redirect your attacks to the activated obelisk and you'll deactivate it (and stop it from shooting those annoying missiles of instant death at you).
Note: It is sometimes possible to interrupt the Archmage's attempts to activate the obelisks if you have a method of slowing him down. Try Static Bolt on your combat mage or Encase on your nature mage.

I can't remember... does the Silence power work on the Dark Wizards? I know it doesn't work on Valdis or the Overmage, but I can't remember about the Dark Wizards. I think it should... if you've got Ranged characters it might be worth a shot.
Silence only works against their System Shock curse, which they only ever cast on melee characters... It has no effect on anything else that they do, unfortunately. And the ArchMage doesn't use System Shock (an oversight by GPG, perhaps?)
