Ok, so i have got 2 computers and Ive got DS2 on both of them Im trying to connect them together to play LAN games. I have done this before but now I cant figure out what in the world I am supposed to do. The problem is that we can hook the pcs together and share files through wireless cards but we cannot see each other in the lobby area, thus preventing us from playing together. Dont ask me how I did it but we somehow hooked up together months ago using a wirless router, 2 wireless usb cards, and 2 cat5e cables, I dont know which is necessary and which is bulk, someone please give me insight. basically what Im asking is how do I make it so that we can play using a wireless router (with cable ports) and wireless cards OR a wireless router with cables using the ports.

All you should need is a working TCP/IP connection between the two computers, the hardware used is unimportant as long as it works. Your problem may lie in your firewall settings (software which controls network access on each machine) or in the basic network connection itself. If you can get the computers such that file sharing works, and DS2 still won't connect then it's probably a firewall or UPnP issue.
